At some point you’ve probably heard the phrase, “she’s playing the harlot” or “she’s whoring around”.
In scripture, those phrases were also used by GOD to describe Israel at different points in time when they turned from GOD, and began worshiping other “gods”, to gain wealth, favor, power, or fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Israel, and what we now call the nations of the “Western World”, were all once fully dedicated to the GOD of the Bible, the great I AM (Yahweh), and Jesus His son for the Christian “Western World”. Perfect? No however, the moral foundation proclaimed, and dedication to GOD and Jesus Christ were declared.
Today, that is all changing rapidly. The pagan “gods”, and the rebellion they represent, have been once again invited in.
The fallen angels in general, along with the Watchers, were once dedicated to GOD before they rebelled and followed Lucifer. However, through their rebellion and desire to be worshipped as gods, Lucifer and the fallen angels became the genesis of the ancient Sumerian gods and the religious system that would be later referred to as the Babylonian system. The fallen angel Sumerian system is the “Mother” that birthed the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Greek, and Roman systems. They all worshipped the same “gods” but with different names.
So, turning away from GOD and His Word, and worshipping other gods, is playing the Harlot.
Now, let’s look at how the Bible describes this harlot…. 
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
The original Greek word in the text, used for Harlot, is porne. It’s the root in the English word pornography. The word means to engage in sexual commerce which indicates where this Harlot’s wealth came from. She sold herself both morally and spiritually to obtain wealth and power however, it also came with a price. The golden cup she holds is full of the sins from her beast relationships and it is stored up in judgment, by GOD, awaiting her in the future.
Mystery Babylon is described as many things, which drives the mystery of what it is she represents in these last days. She is described as;
- That great city that reigns over the kings of the earth
- That great city where also our Lord was also crucified
- The woman that sits on 7 mountains, hills, or mounts which are tied to the 7 heads of the Beast
- The woman that sits on many waters which are the peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages
- A whore that is hated by the 10 horns (kings) of the Beast who will eventually burn and destroy her
- A city that the merchants/ships of the earth will mourn, when she falls, and they see her burning in the distance. Why? Because they were made rich by selling their goods to her through her excessive luxuries
- A woman dressed in scarlet and purple along with expensive jewels
- A woman that has poisoned the minds of the kings and people of the earth leading to abominable things and the murder of Jews and Christians
Many explanations and theories have been debated over the years regarding who or what is Mystery Babylon the Great. These include;
- A rebuilding of the old city of Babylon in Iraq
- Rome / Vatican
- Islam / Dubai or Mecca
- The European Union
- The United States / New York City
- Israel / Jerusalem
The problem with each of those, is that each one by themselves, only fit a few of the 8 descriptions of Babylon above.
To better understand the Harlot riding the Beast, we need to take a closer look at the Beast.
It’s important to understand that the 7 heads of this last Beast kingdom are the previous 7 demonic princes, or heads, from the major kingdoms that ruled much of the earth. Those kingdoms covered the same geographic region and their sequence is understood by the descriptions in Rev 17. At the time the vision was given to the apostle John in approx. 90AD, the Roman Empire was in control of the region. So a demonic entity that was in charge of Rome, is the 6th head…
Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
- 5 kingdoms/Princes had fallen ( Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece)
- 1 is (Rome)
- The 7th is the other that had not yet come, but will remain for a short amount of time
The Beast (Antichrist) himself, is an 8th head and is of the 7, which infers they are all fallen angels working together to rule and control this final kingdom.
We have evidence to this demonic hierarchy in Dan 10:13 where the Prince of Persia is identified as a spiritual entity, and after being defeated by Jesus and the archangel Michael, the Prince of Greece would be coming.
The final Beast kingdom is however different from the previous demonically led kingdoms. Instead of fallen angels ruling behind the dimensional veil, invisible to humans, and using demonic spirits as their foot soldiers, they will be thrown to the earth, along with Satan, after a major war in the heavens takes place (Rev 12). The Antichrist (Beast) will then be possessed, likely by Satan himself, declaring himself to be god. (2Th 2:3-4)
The 10 horns of the Beast are the humans or entities given authority as kings over the earth, by the Beast, for the last 3 and 1/2 years before Jesus returns to rule and reign. The region of this Beast kingdom is defined with characteristics of a leopard, bear, and lion both described in Daniel and Revelation. Those were the kingdom territories covered by Greece, Medo-Persia, and Babylonia, which was much of the Middle East, including Egypt, but not Saudi Arabia and some of the gulf states. This territory is now completely Islamic less Israel.
Now let’s discuss the Harlot that is riding the Beast.
In the beginning, every Harlot was once a virgin, and GOD’s intent is that a woman be betrothed and married to one man, in a physically and spiritually pure relationship, with GOD at the center of that relationship. In scripture, the two are then seen as one. This is a picture, and symbolic, of our intended pure and Holy spiritual relationship with Jesus and GOD who are all one along with the Holy Spirit.
A Harlot, spiritually speaking, has chosen to reject that relationship, and serve/worship other gods for wealth, power, and other desires contrary to the Word of GOD. So now we ask the question, who and what are the entities that have abandoned GOD and chosen to worship other gods?
The first is obviously the fallen angels that chose to follow Lucifer, and then later, the people and religions that had chosen to abandon the one true GOD by worshiping these fallen angels or any other false gods.
However, is there something in existence today, that more directly represents this Harlot, and also checks all of the 8 boxes above that describe the Harlot?
Yes there is. It would be what we call “Western Civilization”. Specifically, all of the nations that we now see turning away from Christianity and are giving themselves over to the Luciferian plans of the WEF, UN Agenda 2030, and the New World Order. Their demonic plan includes mass Islamic immigration with the purpose of destroying what they see as the old world order. This will however, serve Lucifer’s purpose, but also cause the fall of Western civilization, the “Fall of Babylon the Great”. The evidence can be clearly seen in the current leadership and policies of Europe, Canada, and Australia. The U.S was embracing the same policies but some of those have been slowed by the current administration.
Remember, the Beast (Antichrist) is not part of the Harlot, He is the 8th head of the Beast (kingdom). Babylon rides the Beast (kingdom) until it falls and then, the Antichrist declares himself to be god ruling the Beast (system) for the last 3 1/2 years before Jesus returns.
GOD’s pattern of how he judged Israel during her past harlotry, will be the same pattern He will use to judge Babylon the Great, and then the Beast. GOD used the enemies of Israel to destroy, scatter, and take captive the nation and the people of Israel, not because He favored Israel’s enemies, but to chastise Israel. The enemies were also judged and destroyed by GOD, at a later date, due to their evil and sins. It will now be the same for the Harlot and the Beast.
In Rev 17:16, we are told the 10 kings of the Beast hate the Harlot and will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. So, the Islamic Beast kingdom hates the Harlot Western Civilization that was once dedicated to Jesus. Sound familiar?
We have a western culture that is now rejecting GOD, turning to the occult, and a church that is falling away by embracing everything that GOD declared as sin. Babylon the Great, will soon fall in judgement.
For those that are Christians and not playing the Harlot, we have a great hope, like Noah, Lot, and their families, GOD will take care of us through tribulation, and at some point, remove us from this earth before His Wrath begins!
Take heart! Jesus has overcome this world, and through Him, we have also.

The Fall of Babylon
Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel coming down out of Heaven having great authority, and the earth was lighted up from his glory.
Rev 18:2 And he cried in a strong, great voice, saying, Babylon the great has fallen! It has fallen, and it has become a dwelling-place of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean bird, even having been hated,
Rev 18:3 because of the wine of the anger of her fornication which all the nations have drunk, even the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her; and the merchants of the earth became rich from the power of her luxury.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice out of Heaven saying, My people, come out of her, that you may not share in her sins, and that you may not receive of her plagues;
Rev 18:5 because her sins joined together, even up to Heaven, and God remembered her unjust deeds.
Rev 18:6 Give back to her as also she gave back to you, and double to her double, according to her works. In the cup which she mixed, mix to her double.
Rev 18:7 By what things she glorified herself, and luxuriated, by so much give back to her torment and mourning. Because she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and I am not a widow; and I do not see mourning at all.
Rev 18:8 Because of this, in one day her plagues shall come: death, and mourning, and famine; and she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God judging her is strong.
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth will weep for her, and will wail over her, those having fornicated and having luxuriated with her, when they see the smoke of her burning;
Rev 18:10 standing from afar because of the fear of her torment, saying, Woe! Woe to the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment came.
Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargo any more,
Rev 18:12 cargo of gold, and silver, and of precious stone, and of pearls, and of fine linen, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every ivory vessel, and every vessel of very precious wood, and of bronze, and of iron, and of marble,
Rev 18:13 and cinnamon, and incenses, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine meal, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and of bodies and souls of men.
Rev 18:14 And the ripe fruits of the lust of your soul went away from you, and all the fat things, and the bright things went away from you, and you will find them no more, not at all.
Rev 18:15 The merchants of these things, the ones being enriched from her, will stand from afar because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning;
Rev 18:16 and saying, Woe! Woe to the great city having been clothed in linen and purple and scarlet, and having been gilded with gold and precious stone, and pearls!
Rev 18:17 For in one hour such great wealth was desolated. And every ship-pilot and all company on the ships, and sailors, and as many as work the sea, stood from afar,
Rev 18:18 and cried out, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, What is like the great city?
Rev 18:19 And they threw dust on their heads, and cried out, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe! Woe to the great city, by which all those having ships in the sea were rich, from her costliness, because in one hour she was ruined.
Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, because God judged your judgment on her.
Rev 18:21 And one strong angel lifted a stone like a great millstone, and threw it into the sea, saying, This way, on a violent impulse, Babylon the great city will be thrown down, and it will never more still be found.
Rev 18:22 And the sound of harpers, and of musicians, and flutists, and of trumpeters will not still be heard in you, never! And every craftsman of every craft will not still be found in you, never! And the sound of a mill will not still be heard in you, never!
Rev 18:23 And the light of a lamp will not still shine in you, never! And the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you, never! For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were led astray.
Rev 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all the ones having been slain on the earth
