Much of the world is familiar with the name Nostradamus and know of his quatrains that allegedly predict future events. Very few however, know and understand Biblical prophecy.
Nostradamus first became involved in the occult in the mid 16th century AD, and later began writing almanacs which were then followed by his poetic quatrains (our first red flag).
As a point of interest, Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism, was also involved in the occult, as well as Ron L Hubbard, founder of the Church of Scientology, just to name a few. (another red flag)
When a person is involved in the occult, ex. crystals, yoga, divination, psychics, tarot cards, Ouija boards, witchcraft, Satanism, and mediums, just to name a few, they give legal rights for Satan and the dark side to work in their life up to and including demonic possession. At a minimum, demonic oppression. At this point, the person can start hearing voices. These voices can manifest to harass and intimidate, pretend to be an “ascended master”, a higher evolved alien being, or others depending on Satan’s plan to use that person before his plan to destroy them. The way out of this is of course calling upon the name of Jesus, asking him to help you and be your savior, and repent of your sin. Then, burn every occult item you possess.
So what about Nostradamus? Obviously the inspiration for the quatrains came from the dark side. He would not be a prophet of GOD, with inspiration through the Holy Spirit, while being involved in the occult. That said, the primary goal of Satan is to kill, steal, and destroy. He is the father of lies and lying is his nature. These are not my thoughts, but what we are told in scripture.
Satan is a master of half truths. He sprinkles in some truth with other information with the intent to deceive. Therefore, would should expect nothing less regarding the intent of these quatrains.
The books of the Bible, were written over thousands of years, by multiple authors, with synergy that is only possible through GOD. Instead of cryptic unspecific short quatrains, we have prophetic specifics on what and how empires would fall and rise, details on the sequence of events that would happen in during the end times, and over 300 prophecies that described the birth, death, resurrection, and ministry of Jesus Christ.
Many of Nostradamus’s quatrains believed to be related to the end times, contain bits and pieces of Biblical content. This once again demonstrates Satan’s partial truth with additional information or context and the intent to deceive. Let’s take a look at a few examples;
“Like the sun the head shall sear the shining sea: The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil. When Rhodes and Genoa half-starved shall be, the local folk to cut them up shall toil.” The Biblical context of this is not evidence of global warming as many of his followers believe, but part of GOD’s final wrath against the unrepentant when the 4th bowl of wrath is poured out upon the earth;
Rev 16:8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.
The Bible indicates in Revelation that the seat of Satan at that time was in Pergamum (Today it’s called Bergama Turkey). The northern border of Turkey is on the Black Sea that is referenced in the quatrain as well. The fifth bowl of wrath now also ties into that same region;
Rev 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
Let’s look at another quatrain;
“The trumpet shakes with great discord. An agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven: the bloody mouth will swim with blood; the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground.”
According to an article in Bolip US reviewing 10 Nostradamus End Time Prophecies, the stated interpretation of this one was “This second quatrain strictly refers to violence. According to some Nostradamus believers, the prophet is referring to a potential revolt against the wealthy people all across the world, that would end up in global chaos and potential fatalities.” Without a Biblical lens, they interpret this according to current or past events. In short, Biblically, this would likely refer to;
- Trumpet shakes – The Trumpet judgements in Rev 8
- Agreement broken and lifting face to heaven – Lucifer’s rebellion along with the Antichrist declaring himself as god and setting up the abomination of desolation. 2 Thes 2, Isa 14:12-15
- Bloody mouth swimming with blood – 2nd & 3rd Bowl of Wrath – Rev 16
- Face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground – Time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble during the 42 month Antichrist control. Israel is referred to as the land of milk and honey in scripture.
- Rev 11:1 Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, 2 but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.
Keep in mind that the book of Revelation was written by the apostle John around 90 AD and almost 1500 years before Nostradamus.
As said many times in the past, identifying counterfeit currency is accomplished by studying the actual currency, not the counterfeit. Only then can you recognize counterfeits when they come along. Cryptic bits and pieces of information in vague quatrains lead to numerous wrong attempts at interpretations. This is by design.
The evidence that the Holy Bible is absolute truth far exceeds any other text written. Don’t believe the noise of those desperate to gather others to be like them. They believe that if they gather majority consensus it will somehow make them feel better about themselves and change what is truth. It wont. This is very evident in the LGBTQ movement as well. But I digress.
The thin line of truth in the middle of mass deception occurring right now is the one true GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, His son Jesus Christ, and His WORD, the Holy Bible.
